Miami Dolphins Make Roster Moves

The Miami Dolphins announced they have placed linebacker Jaelan Phillips on the reserve/injured list and signed linebacker Tyus Bowser to the active roster from Seattle's practice squad.

Bowser is an eight-year veteran who has appeared in 91 career games with 24 starts with Baltimore (2017-23) and Seattle (2024). He's recorded 142 tackles (82 solo), 19.5 sacks, four interceptions, 16 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in his NFL career. He played collegiately at Houston, where he appeared in 48 games with 23 starts during his four-year career with the Cougars (2013-16) and recorded 136 tackles (70 solo), 21.5 sacks, 27.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and eight passes defensed. He also played basketball for Houston during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. He entered the league as a second-round selection (47th overall) by Baltimore in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Phillips has played in 46 career games with 29 starts during four seasons (2021-24) with the Dolphins, totaling 152 tackles (90 solo), 23.0 sacks, one interception, seven passes defensed, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries. Phillips entered the league as a first-round selection (18th overall) by the Dolphins in the 2021 NFL Draft. He finished his collegiate career at the University of Miami, where he started 10 games and totaled 45 tackles (21 solo), 8.0 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, four passes defensed and one interception in 2020 after transferring from UCLA.
