The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have signed linebacker K.J. Britt as an unrestricted free agent.
Britt is entering his fifth NFL season after appearing in 59 games with 15 starts with Tampa Bay (2021-24). He has recorded 105 tackles (56 solo), a 0.5 sack and three passes defensed in his career, while also adding 21 special teams tackles (12 solo). Britt has also appeared in six postseason games with two starts, totaling 21 tackles (10 solo) and one pass defensed. He entered the NFL as a fifth-round selection (176th overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Auburn (2017-20), where earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2019 and played in 42 games with 14 starts, recording 119 tackles (64 solo), 2.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, two passes defensed and one forced fumble in four seasons with the Tigers.
