Miami Dolphins Sign 10 To Practice Squad

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed the following 10 players to the practice squad: guard Isaac Asiata, wide receiver Leonte Carroo, cornerback Jalen Davis, wide receiver Isaiah Ford, center Connor Hilland, running back Jeremy Langford, defensive end Cameron Malveaux, defensive tackle Jamiyus Pittman, linebacker Quentin Poling and defensive end Jonathan Woodard.

Asiata was a fifth-round pick (164th overall) by Miami in the 2017 NFL draft. He played in one game in 2017 and was inactive in 15 contests. He was a four-year letterman (2013-16) and three-year starter at Utah, where he started 39 consecutive games to finish his career.

Carroo was a third-round pick (86th overall) by Miami in the 2016 NFL draft. He played in 28 games over two seasons (2016-17) and made two starts. Carroo had 10 career receptions for 98 yards (9.8 avg.) and one touchdown. He was a four-year letterman (2012-15) and two-year starter at Rutgers.

Davis originally joined the Dolphins as an undrafted college free agent on May 10, 2018. He was a four-year starter (2014-17) at Utah State where he started 49 games and made 181 tackles (123 solo), eight sacks, 11 interceptions, 48 passes defensed and four forced fumbles.

Ford was a seventh-round pick (237th overall) by Miami in the 2017 NFL draft. He missed the entire 2017 season after being placed on injured reserve on Aug. 19, 2017. Ford was a three-year starter (2014-16) at Virginia Tech where he left as the school's all-time leader in receptions (210), receiving yards (2,967) and receiving TDs (24).

Hilland originally signed with Miami as an undrafted college free agent on May 10, 2018. He was a four-year starter (2014-17) at William & Mary, where he started 39 games at left guard. He earned first-team Colonial Athletic Association honors as a senior in 2017.

Langford originally signed with Miami on Aug. 6, 2018. He spent the 2017 season with the N.Y. Jets but missed the year with an injury. Langford played in 28 games with five starts for Chicago from 2015-16 and totaled 210 carries for 737 yards (3.5 avg.) and 10 touchdowns. He originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (106th overall) by Chicago in the 2015 NFL draft.

Malveaux originally signed with Miami as an undrafted college free agent on May 5, 2017. He spent most of the 2017 season on the Dolphins practice squad before he was promoted to the active roster on Dec. 2, 2017 and played in four games. Malveaux recorded five tackles (four solo) and one sack.

Pittman originally signed with Miami as an undrafted college free agent on May 10, 2018. He was a four-year letterman (2014-17) and three-year starter at Central Florida, where he played in 49 games with 33 starts. Pittman recorded 138 tackles (67 solo), 13 sacks, four passes defensed and one forced fumble in his collegiate career.

Poling was a seventh-round pick (227th overall) by the Dolphins in the 2018 NFL draft. He was a four-year starter (2014-17) at Ohio, where he started 50 games. Poling recorded 374 tackles (217 solo), 18.5 sacks, seven interceptions, 21 passes defensed and seven forced fumbles in his collegiate career.

Woodard originally signed with Miami on Jan. 1, 2018 after finishing the 2017 season on the Dolphins practice squad. He also spent part of the 2017 season on Atlanta's practice squad. Woodard originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick (226th overall) by Jacksonville in the 2016 NFL draft.
