Trailing 10-9 in the fourth quarter, Miami quarterback Tyler Huntley and the Dolphins' relentless rushing attack orchestrated a 15 play, 80-yard touchdown drive that cemented a 15-10 road win over the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon.
Miami is now 4-1 against New England under Head Coach Mike McDaniel. This is also the Dolphins' eighth win in their last 10 meetings with the Patriots – the first time Miami has accomplished such a feat since 1991-96.

Backs Run Wild
The Dolphins rushed for 193 yards on 41 carries (4.7 avg.) in Foxborough, their highest single-game rushing total since Week 5 of the 2023 season. It marked the second game with 40-plus carries under McDaniel, after Miami totaled 43 carries for 350 yards against the Broncos in 2023.
Running back Jaylen Wright led the team with 13 carries for a career-high 86 yards (6.6 avg.). His 86 rushing yards are the second-most by a rookie running back this season, as Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. tallied 129 yards during the late-afternoon slate of Week 5.
After being sidelined since the season opener, running back Raheem Mostert had a strong performance in his return, rushing the ball 19 times for 80 yards (4.2 avg.). This was the first game since Week 3 of the 2023 season against Denver in which Miami had two 80-plus yard rushers.
Fullback Alec Ingold scored his sixth-career touchdown on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter, which gave Miami the game-clinching advantage.
Successful Day For Sanders
Kicker Jason Sanders made field goals of 54, 32 and 47 yards. This was the 20th time in his career that he made at least three field goals in a game. It's also the most he's tallied in a game since he knocked five kicks through the uprights in Week 16 of the 2023 season against the Dallas Cowboys.
Sanders' 54-yard field goal was just three yards short of his career long. He's connected on three field goals of 50-plus yards so far this season. The most from this distance that he's made in a season was eight during the 2020 campaign.
Sanders, who appeared in his 104th consecutive game on Sunday, now ranks tied for 10th in franchise history in most consecutive games played.
Notable Defenders
Miami tallied its two sacks on the Patriots' first offensive drive of the game. First, linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah notched his first sack of the season with a takedown of quarterback Jacoby Brissett. On the ensuing third down, defensive tackle Zach Sieler recorded his second sack of the year, forcing the Patriots to punt.
Miami allowed 299 total yards and just 160 passing yards against the Patriots. This season, Defensive Coordinator Anthony Weaver has led a defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest passing yards per game (159.6) and the sixth-fewest total yards per game (285.4). The Dolphins have allowed opponents to convert just 25.5% of their third-down attempts, which is the lowest allowed conversion rate in the league. New England converted just four of its 13 third-down attempts (31%) on Sunday.
Safety Marcus Maye led Miami with nine tackles (five solo), which was his most in a game since Week 13 of 2022 with New Orleans. This was Maye's first start with the Dolphins.
Linebacker Jordyn Brooks continued his string of productive play, finishing second on the team with seven tackles. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey tallied five tackles and deflected two passes, while safety Jevón Holland and cornerback Kader Kohou each posted five tackles and a pass defensed.
Waddle Enters Elite Company
Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who appeared in his 52nd career game, finished the day with four receptions for 46 yards, giving him 3,643 receiving yards in his career. He is the second Dolphins wide receiver since at least 1970 to surpass 3,600 receiving yards in the first 52 games of his career, joining Mark Duper (3,670).
Tyreek Hill led Miami with six receptions for a game-high 69 yards. Tight end Jonnu Smith tallied five receptions for a season-high 62 yards, the most he's had since Week 9 of the 2023 season. His 62 yards were the most by a Dolphins tight end since Mike Gesicki recorded 69 against the Minnesota Vikings in 2022.
Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made his Dolphins debut and was targeted twice.
Individual/Team Stats and Milestones
In his second start with the Dolphins, Huntley completed 18-of-31 passes for a season-high 194 passing yards and an interception. He also picked up seven yards on three carries with his legs. His 21-yard fourth quarter pass to Hill helped ignite Miami's game-winning drive.
Wide receiver Braxton Berrios returned a kickoff for 19 yards in the second quarter. This was Berrios' third-consecutive week with a 15-plus yard return, having recorded punt returns of 44 yards at Seattle in Week 3 and 27 yards against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4.
Several Dolphins achieved games played and started milestones. Offensive tackle Terron Armstead made his 120th career start, tight end Durham Smythe appeared in his 100th career game, punter Jake Bailey appeared in the 80th game of his career, Holland appeared in his 50th career game and linebacker Tyus Bowser made his debut with Miami.
