Pri Shumate is the club's senior vice president and chief marketing officer, a position she's held since March 2024. In her role, Shumate oversees brand and performance marketing, communications, community affairs, events, entertainment and fan experience across the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Open and the Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix.
Prior to joining the organization, Shumate served as chief marketing officer of Columbia Sportswear, where she helped evolve the brand storytelling to focus on a younger and more diverse demographic. She previously held roles as global head, gift card program and head of marketing, experiences and Olympics with Airbnb and chief marketing officer with the World Surf League. Shumate also spent 17 years at Nike, culminating as vice president of global brand marketing for Nike Running. After joining Nike in 2001, Shumate held various leadership roles during her tenure, including senior brand marketing director for the 2016 Rio Olympics before being named chief marketing officer of Hurley, a Nike subsidiary, in 2017.
Shumate was named to Forbes' CMO Next list in 2019, earning recognition for redefining and embodying all that the CMO role encompasses. Shumate has been featured as a guest lecturer for the University of Oregon and served as a keynote speaker for the 2023 commencement. She is an active advisory board member for Ometria, where she was a keynote speaker for the Ometria Lifecycle Event in 2023.
A Sao Paulo, Brazil native, Shumate is a graduate of Texas A&M, where she earned a bachelor's degree in marketing. She and her husband, Brian, have two sons, Rossi and Indy.
