Ged Tarpey is the club's senior vice president and chief commercial officer, a position he's held since March 2024. In his role, Tarpey oversees corporate partnerships and corporate events across the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Open and the Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix.
Tarpey joined the organization after most recently serving as managing director of global media and entertainment for X, formerly known as Twitter, where he led the company's strategy, sales and partnerships with the media and entertainment industry globally. In his 12 years with the company, Tarpey worked with major movie studios, television networks and streaming platforms to create innovative ways to market movies and TV shows on the platform. He also led the sales efforts of the music, sports, sports betting, news and publishing industries. Prior to his time with the social media platform, Tarpey spent six years with Microsoft as global account director, where he was responsible for developing strategies and engagement for key global clients with a focus on the entertainment industry.
A Manchester, England native, Tarpey played for Manchester City Football Club of the English Premier League from 1993 to 1998, after spending three years with the Manchester City Academy. He earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Walsh University in 2003 and was awarded the Professional Achievement Award at the university's Outstanding Alumni Awards in 2021. Tarpey resides in Miami with his wife, Ana, their daughter, Gaby and two dogs, Lola and Cookie.
