Alicia Cuervo joined the organization in December 2023 as vice president of construction. In her role, Cuervo manages the onsite design and construction for Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Open and the Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix.
Cuervo spent six years with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH), where she most recently served as the vice president of development, design and construction and was responsible for global shoreside construction projects. Cuervo oversaw the design and construction efforts for the award-winning PortMiami Terminal B, which won the ENR Southeast 2021 Best Project Award in the airport/transit category and was the first cruise ship terminal to be awarded LEED V4 Gold Certification in the world. Prior to her role with NCLH, Cuervo served as vice president of development for SE Florida at OHL Arellano. Before entering private construction, Cuervo spent more than 20 years in executive leadership positions in the government sector of building, building compliance and capital construction.
Cuervo earned the Governor's Distinguished Service Award for excellence in engineering, and is a Dorothy Ryan Award recipient, an honor bestowed for excellence in leadership among women.
A Richmond, Virginia native, Cuervo holds a degree in civil engineering from Florida International University, a graduate certificate from Cornell and holds multiple environmental and engineering certifications. She resides in Coral Gables with her husband, Ralph, their son, Garrett, and their mini goldendoodle.
