The 2024 season marks Krause's fourth year of NFL experience including three as a player and his first as a coach. Krause won Super Bowl XLIX as a member of New England's practice squad.
Prior to joining Miami, Krause spent one season at San Diego State as wide receivers coach. In 2023, Krause worked with wide receiver Mekhi Shaw, who earned honorable mention All-Mountain West honors at wide receiver and punt returner.
Krause spent two seasons (2021-22) as wide receivers coach at UNLV. In each of those two seasons, the Rebels had a pair of receivers with at least 40 catches and 500 receiving yards. It marked the first time since 2012-13 that UNLV had done this in consecutive seasons.
In 2022, the Rebels ranked third in the Mountain West in passing offense (215.0) and fifth in scoring offense (26.3). Wide receiver Ricky White recorded 51 receptions for 619 yards (12.1 avg.) and four touchdowns, while wide receiver Kyle Williams totaled 40 receptions for 541 yards (13.5 avg.) and five touchdowns.
In 2021, Krause helped wide receiver Steve Jenkins total 46 receptions for 694 yards (15.1 avg.) and four touchdowns. Williams recorded then-career highs in receptions (42) and receiving yards (601), while adding two touchdowns.
Krause spent three seasons (2018-20) at Oregon as a graduate assistant, working mostly with the wide receivers. During his three seasons, Krause helped Oregon to a 25-9 overall record, a pair of Pac-12 Conference championships and three bowl games, including the 2020 Rose Bowl title.
In 2020, the Ducks ranked fourth in the Pac-12 in passing offense (246.1) and scoring offense (31.3). Krause helped Oregon defeat USC in the conference championship game, earning a trip to the Fiesta Bowl. Under his guidance, wide receiver Johnny Johnson III earned All-Pac 12 honorable mention.
In 2019, the Ducks finished the season ranked fifth in the AP Top 25 Poll following victories in the Pac-12 championship and the Rose Bowl. Krause helped develop a deep group of wideouts in which three different receivers finished the season with at least 30 receptions. Johnson led the team with 57 receptions for 836 yards (14.7 avg.) and seven touchdowns, while wide receiver Jaylon Redd recorded 50 receptions for 465 yards (9.3 avg.) and seven touchdowns. Despite missing the first four games of the season, wide receiver Juwan Johnson totaled 30 catches for 467 yards (15.6 avg.) and four touchdowns.
In 2018, Krause coached wide receiver Dillon Mitchell, who finished his final season at Oregon with 1,184 receiving yards, a single-season program record at the time. He was just the 11th Duck to have a 1,000-yard receiving season in program history. The junior wideout led the Pac-12 in receiving yards and earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors. Mitchell was a seventh-round pick (239th overall) by Minnesota in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Krause began his coaching career with his alma mater, serving as a volunteer coach with the Commodores following his playing career.
Krause played three NFL seasons as a wide receiver with stops in New England (2014), Philadelphia (2015), Tampa Bay (2016), San Diego (2016) and Tennessee (2016). Krause won Super Bowl XLIX as a member of New England's practice squad at the end of the 2014 season. He played in two games with Philadelphia in 2015, recording two receptions for 11 yards (5.5 avg.) and one solo special teams tackle.
A Pompano Beach, Florida native, Krause finished high school in Snellville, Georgia after one semester in his hometown. He was a four-year letterwinner at Vanderbilt, playing in all 49 games during his career. He graduated with a degree in economics and a minor in computer science.
