Adam Lachance joined the Miami Dolphins in 2015 and was promoted to assistant strength & conditioning coach in 2022. He was a strength & conditioning assistant/sports science coordinator from 2018-21, sports performance assistant from 2015-18 and began his Dolphins tenure as a strength & conditioning intern in 2015.
During his time with the Dolphins, the team has posted five winning seasons (2016, 2020-23), including four in a row, something the franchise had not done since 1997-2003.
In his first full season as a sports performance assistant in 2016, the Dolphins won 10 games and earned a playoff spot for the first time since 2008. In his final two years as a strength and conditioning assistant/sports science coordinator in 2020-21, Miami posted its first back-to-back winning seasons since 2002-03. The Dolphins earned a playoff berth – their first since 2016 – and another winning season in Lachance's first year as assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2022. In 2023, the Dolphins won 11 games for the first time since 2008. The team earned its second consecutive playoff berth, the first back-to-back trips to the postseason since 1997-2001.
Lachance is a combat veteran of the United States Army where he served seven years (2006-12) and three combat tours to Afghanistan as a Joint Forward Observer with the 4th Brigade 2/508th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division stationed out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Lachance was awarded numerous commendations for his military service including two Army Valorous Unit Awards, an Army Commendation Medal with Valor, three Army Commendation medals, three Afghanistan Campaign Medals, Combat Infantry Badge, Combat Action Badge, U.S. Parachutist Badge and an Australian Parachutist Badge.
A Rochester, New Hampshire native, Lachance earned his master's degree in exercise physiology, strength and conditioning from the University of Miami in 2017. He also holds a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Miami and an associate's degree in health and fitness science from Sandhill Community College.
