Ed Perry: Big GAM

Miami Dolphins Tales From The Deep

A Richmond, Virginia native, Ed Perry played his college ball at James Madison University before being selected by Jimmy Johnson in the 6th round of the 1997 NFL Draft, joining future Miami Dolphins greats Jason Taylor and Sam Madison as members of the same draft class. Perry would begin his pro career as a tight end, but would make his mark in Miami as one of the top long snappers in the league.

In the Fish Tank, Ed reveals he did not learn to long snap until he arrived in Miami (2:00), explains how he earned his nickname from Richmond Webb (4:20), and discusses his role as the team barber (6:18) while disputing a Randy McMichael hair cutting claim (10:53). Ed goes on to detail a South Beach adventure with his father and Troy Drayton (12:26), shares his philosophy on hazing rookies (16:20), stirs things up at a Mexican airport (25:08), and takes control of our Two-Minute Drill (28:37).
